Chandigarh, July 5 (Press ki taquat bureau): Approximately 350,000 households in Haryana have enrolled in the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and the Power Department of Haryana has set a target to install solar rooftops on 500,000 houses by 2030, as stated by AK Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department. This announcement was made during an event organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) to promote solar power in Haryana.
S Naryanan, Director General of Haryana Renewal Energy Development Agency (HAREDA), mentioned that the draft Solar Policy is prepared and will be officially announced soon. This policy is expected to provide a significant boost to the solar industry in the state. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to encourage the use of solar water pumps by offering subsidies of up to 75% to farmers, positioning Haryana as the leading state in the country for the adoption of solar water pumps. Additionally, he extended an invitation to industries to participate in the energy conservation awards organized by HAREDA.
