Chandigarh, february 16 (press ki taquat bureau): The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, along with the Bharatiya Kisan Union, has announced a nationwide strike called ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Friday. This strike is in response to the government’s failure to address the demands of the farmers. As part of the strike, farmers have been urged to halt their work for the day and refrain from visiting markets. Additionally, traders and transporters have been encouraged to join the protest. The focus of the strike will be on staying in their respective areas rather than marching towards Delhi.
In Haryana, Gurnam Singh Charuni, the president of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU)-Charuni, has stated that farmers will take control of all toll plazas in the state from noon to 3 pm on Friday. This action is a form of protest against the police’s treatment of the agitating farmers who have gathered along the borders of Punjab. The farmers are determined to make their voices heard and demand justice for their cause.
