Auckland, February 24 (Press ki taquat bureau): David Warner, the dynamic Australian opening batsman, is poised to recover in time for the begining of the IPL. The 37-year-old will need up to 10 days to fully recuperate from a minor adductor issue.
Mentioning that this recovery period will not hinder his participation in the IPL and the following Men’s T20 World Cup, Cricket Australia stated Warner’s process. Warner previously skipped the second T20I match in the interest of Australia’s rotation policy. Warner is expected to depart from the shortest format after the T20 World Cup in June 2022.
In last year’s IPL season, Warner took on the captaincy role for Delhi Capitals after Rishabh Pant’s unfortunate injury and finished as the leading run-scorer for the team with a remarkable 516 runs and six half-centuries to his name. Warner did face hostility from New Zealand fans when he was dismissed for a quickfire 32 off 20 balls during the opening T20 encounter in Wellington.
