Patiala, 29 february (press ki taquat bureau): Farmer leaders paid tribute to the late farmer Shubhkaran Singh by placing flags of their respective unions on his body during the procession from Rajindra Hospital to the Khanauri border.
The farmers marched alongside the ambulance, chanting slogans in honor of Shubhkaran Singh and demanding swift justice for his death.
The deadlock between farmers and police was resolved when a murder case was filed against unidentified suspects for Shubhkaran’s death at the Khanauri border on February 21.
Post-mortem was carried out on Wednesday night, and the cremation is scheduled to take place in his hometown of Bathinda on Thursday afternoon.
