Patiala, 5 June (Press ki taquat bureau): District Legal Services Authority, Patiala celebrated World Environment Day today on 05.6.2024. On this occasion, Ms Rupinderjit Chahal, Ld. District and Sessions Judge Patiala planted trees like Pipal, Bohar and Neem (Triveni) in the premises of District Courts Patiala. Ms Navdeep Gill, CJM, Patiala, Sh. Atul Kamboj, Civil Judge (SD), Patiala, Patiala and Ms Manni Arora, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala also planted trees like Moringa Oleifera, Neem etc. Ms Manni Arora today said that for making our environment greener and pollution free, all of us should plant more trees. Ms Manni said that felling and cutting of a large number of trees globally and increase in pollution levels have led to imbalance in our weather which is affecting our day to day life. She said that by planting more and more trees, it would help in reducing pollution levels and would also make our environment greener. She said that along with planting more tree saplings, we should also take proper care of the saplings so that they grow into fully grown trees. On this occasion, Sh. Paramjit Singh, PLV, Sh. Gurkirat Singh, PLV and Sh. Jaspal Singh, PLV alongwith staff of District Legal Services Authority, Patiala were also present there.
Apart from this, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala also planted trees like Neem, Pipal and Bohar at Ajit Nagar, Patiala, opposite Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib, Patiala, 21 no phatak under bridge ‘Masti ka bagh’ Patiala and Trikona Park Model Town, Patiala with the help of Para Legal Volunteers. On the occasion of celebration of world environment day, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala also planted tree at judicial courts complex, Samana, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar Nabha and Rajpura town with help of Para Legal Volunteers, Front Offices at Sub Divisions Nabha, Samana and Rajpura.
