In a bid to explore potential collaborations between the Government of Punjab and academia partnership for effective governance and public service delivery in the state, Punjab Governance Reforms and Public Grievances Minister Mr. Aman Arora held discussions with a team of Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business (ISB).
Discussing several focused initiatives for the state of Punjab, Mr Aman Arora said, “Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is committed to the digital transformation and improving the public service delivery across the state. The government and academia partnership is a crucial step in this direction, providing research and evidence-based policy inputs to the government”.
The meeting was aimed to explore potential collaborations between the Government of Punjab and the Bharti Institute of Public Policy on several focused initiatives for the state of Punjab.
During the meeting, the team of the Bharti Institute led by Policy Director Dr. Aarushi Jain held discussions on steps for effective public service delivery and good governance including a proposal for the Punjab State Data Portal—a centralised repository for various data sets and information relevant to the state of Punjab to enhance data-driven decision-making within the government and improve transparency by making data accessible to the public. Another e-platform providing high-end data analytics focusing on real time governance monitoring and predictive analysis was also discussed.
Special Secretary Governance Reforms and Public Grievances Mr. Girish Dayalan, other officials of the department and the team of Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB included Senior Manager Government Trainings Dr. Sharique Hassan Manazir and Project Lead, India Data Portal Amrita Chakraborty were also present in the meeting.
