Amarnath, 10-06-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- Amarnath Yatra is going to start from next month. Strict security arrangements have been made during the Amarnath Yatra. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday held a high-level meeting to review in detail the security preparations being made for the two-month-long Yatra.
Shah said during the meeting that it is the priority of the Modi government that Amarnath pilgrims should be given darshan easily and they should not face any kind of problem. During the review, Shah has directed to make adequate security arrangements on the travel route to prevent any accidents from happening.
Along with this, Amit Shah has also given instructions to make adequate security arrangements from the ground to the sky during the Amarnath Yatra. Also asked to provide night air service from Srinagar and Jammu for the convenience of passengers.
Shah reviewed preparations for the Amarnath Yatra with senior officials of the central government, army and Jammu and Kashmir administration. The 62-day annual pilgrimage to Baba Barfani, the holy cave of Amarnath located at an altitude of 3,880 meters in the South Kashmir Himalayas, will begin from July 1 and continue till August 31.
Non-vegetarian food of any kind will be strictly prohibited during the journey. Along with this, alcohol, tobacco, gutkha, paan masala, smoking etc. have been banned.
