Australia, 12-06-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- At least 10 people were killed and 25 injured after a bus overturned in Greta’s wine region. Assistant Police Commissioner Tracy Chapman said that the bus driver (58) has been arrested. He was taken to Cessnock police station and a case will be registered against him. He did not elaborate on the charges against the driver.
The crash happened just after 11.30pm at an intersection on Wine Country Drive in Greta, north of Sydney. The people in the bus were returning after attending a wedding. He said that 25 people have been injured in this accident, who have been admitted to hospitals.
18 other people in the bus are safe. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese thanked the rescue workers who arrived at the scene and expressed his condolences to the victims and their families. He also assured all possible help from the government. Cessnock Mayor Jay Suwal has also expressed grief over this incident.
