A weekend night out at a South Delhi bar turned chaotic after a violent brawl broke out over the DJ’s choice of music. The incident occurred in Mehrauli, where two groups clashed inside a bar and restaurant, hurling beer bottles, glasses, and punches, while staff and other guests looked on helplessly.
A witness, who posted the video on social media platform X, claimed that the altercation began when a group of 4-5 men accompanied by girls requested the DJ to play different songs. Reportedly, the DJ’s girlfriend intervened and exchanged words with the group. One of the men allegedly pushed her lightly, escalating tensions.
The argument soon turned into a physical fight after one of the men from the group slapped the DJ. In retaliation, the DJ started throwing beer bottles, glasses, and even broke a glass bottle on a man’s head. The bar echoed with abuses as both sides got physically aggressive.
According to the post, the group eventually beat up the DJ before leaving the premises. The bar staff later informed the police about the incident.

The video has since gone viral, sparking debate on social media. While many condemned the violent behavior, others pointed out the growing trend of such incidents in Delhi’s nightlife. Comments ranged from “No respect for law and order” to “Money doesn’t buy class,” as users criticized both the patrons and the club’s management.
This is not an isolated case. Earlier in 2024, another violent incident was reported at a pub in Satya Niketan, where a group opened fire following a dispute over seating arrangements. Fortunately, no one was injured, but police arrested five people in connection with that case.
With such incidents becoming frequent, concerns are rising over the deteriorating club culture and the lack of security measures at nightlife venues in the capital.
