Canada, 08-06-2023 (Press Ki Taquat) – Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) program now includes 13 countries. Passport holders from these 13 countries who travel by air will now be able to travel to Canada without the need for a Temporary Residence Visa (TRV). However, to be eligible, travelers from these countries must have either held a Canadian visa within the last 10 years or currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa.
These 13 countries are: Brazil, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Costa Rica, Morocco, Panama, Philippines, Saint Kitts and Navis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Seychelles, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay.
Immigration Minister Shaun Fraser said it would also reduce the burden on the Immigration Department, which processes millions of applications every year. Fraser said they may expand the program to more countries in the future.
