New Delhi, 01-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)– The Modi government has banned 14 mobile apps from Pakistan being used in India. The government says that these mobile messenger apps were being used by terrorists. According to intelligence agencies, the use of these mobile apps has been found mostly in Jammu and Kashmir.
Banned messenger apps include Crypvisor, Enigma, SafeSwiss, Vikerme, Mediafire, Briar, Beechat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Elementor, Second Line, Jangi, and Threema.
As of June 2020, the government has banned more than 200 Chinese apps. These include popular mobile games such as TikTok, Shareit, WeChat, Helo, Likee, UC News, Bigo Live, UC Browser, Xender, CamScanner, PUBG Mobile and Garena Free Fire.
