Last night, the coldest night of the season was recorded in Chandigarh, with the minimum temperature dropping to 2.7 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest in comparison to the usual five degrees Celsius. However, the city has also experienced the highest temperature, reaching 18.1 degrees Celsius. The weather department has forecasted foggy and chilly winds in the city until January 19th. The visibility has been reduced to about 50 meters due to the fog. The afternoon sun today provided some relief from the cold for the people. In Chandigarh, the blanket of fog prevailed until 11 am in the morning, after which the sun came out and provided some relief from the cold.
