INAUGURATE/ LAYS FOUNDATION STONE/ ANNOUNCE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS WORTH RS 867 FOR HOSHIARPUR

Heralding an era of unprecedented development ‘Vikas Kranti’ in the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated/ laid foundation stone/ announced developmental projects worth Rs 867 Crore as a gift to people of Hoshiarpur.
Both the leaders laid the foundation stone of projects including Government Medical College to come up at a cost of Rs 550 crore. The college to be named after Shaheed Udham Singh Ji will have a provision for admission of 100 MBBS seats for which the National Medical Commission UG-MSR-2023 requires 420 beds. Both the Chief Ministers also dedicated Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Memorial with Auditorium and amphitheatre at village Khuralgarh to the masses.
They said that constructed at a cost of Rs 148 crore this project will go a long way in perpetuating the life and Philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj amongst the masses. Similarly, the foundation stone of a project for providing Sewerage facility in Village Bajwara and Qilla Barron at a cost of Rs 30.82 crore was also laid. The foundation stone of Construction of Tehsil Building with Fard Kendra at Hoshiarpur to come up at a cost of 5.29 crore was also laid by both the Chief Ministers.
The building will have provision of SDM office, SDM Court, Tehsildar Office, Tehsildar Court, Sub Registration Office, Canteen, Waiting Area, Meeting Room, Fard Centre, Record Room and others. Similarly foundation stone for water supply projects worth Rs 1.94 crore was also laid for areas like Mohalla Kutcha Toba, New Shanti Nagar, Premgarh, New Bank Colony and Boothgarh to provide uninterrupted supply of potable drinking water to the residents. Both the leaders also laid the foundation stone for construction of Balapeer Road Tanda Road to Main Road Begowal and work of laying interlocking tiles on both sides of Nalaa in Begowal city at cost of Rs 1.52 crore.
Likewise, the foundation for various developmental works worth Rs 14 crore was also started in Phagwara. The foundation stone of laying of 100% Water Supply pipeline in Garhshankar was also started at a cost of Rs 1.36 crore thereby giving a huge reprieve to the people. Both the Chief Ministers also launched a major project for construction of Playgrounds over four acres of land in all districts on the vacant Panchayat lands at a cost of Rs 22.68 crore.
They also inaugurated S. Bahadur Amin Chand Soni Institute for training of Boys and Girls for Armed Forces exams constructed at a cost of Rs 26.96 crore to facilitate the young students to get entry in Armed forces. They also dedicated a New building for 30 Bedded Mother and Child Hospital Wing constructed at a cost of Rs 5.75 crore. The recently upgraded Sub Division Hospital at Garhshankar over a cost of 0.80 crore was also dedicated to the masses by both the Chief Ministers.
Similarly, the newly constructed Aam Aadmi Clinic at Mahilpur was also dedicated to the people by both the Chief Ministers. They said that constructed over a cost of Rs 0.5 crore this clinic will go a long way in imparting quality health services to people. Both the leaders also gifted the project to provide Sewage Facility for Hariana Municipal Council at a cost of Rs 3.14 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also dedicated a multipurpose hall with capacity of 500 persons, for the purpose of marriages, functions, gathering, meetings and others at nominal price to the people of Dasuya. This project has been completed at a cost of Rs 1.42 crore. Similarly, Water Supply Scheme worth Rs. 1.59 crore including Tubewell, Civil Work and OHSR were gifted to people of Kalowal and Mirpur Kotli. New Tubewell was also gifted to people of Tahli and Baghaura (Chabbewal) at a cost of Rs 0.15 crore and 0.20 crore respectively.
In order to ensure supply of potable and regular drinking water to people both the Chief Ministers also gifted Water Supply Scheme including Tubewell, Civil Work and OHSR to residents of Sibo Check, Bhojpur, Abdulapur and Kalu Chang villages in Mukerian at a cost of Rs 1.85 crore. They also inaugurated development works worth Rs 1.53 crore in Dhilwan City and that of Rs 1.18 crore in Nadala city, newly constructed cluster Fire Brigade office in N.P. Bholath which will connect the other neighbourhood ULBs Nadala,Dhilwan and Begowal at a cost of Rs 0.45 crore and Aam Aadmi Clinics in Nadala, Dhilwan, Bholath and Begowal at a cost of Rs 1 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also announced plans to construct eight Lane Athletics Synthetic in Lajwanti Outdoor Stadium, Hoshiarpur and eight Lane Athletics Synthetic at Government College, Tanda at a cost of Rs 6 crore each. They also announced Repair and Renovation of District Hospital Building in Hoshiarpur at a cost of 6.77 crore. Similarly they announced the Upgradation of Community Health Centre Garhdiwala at a cost of Rs 8.05 crore, Upgradation of CHC Tanda at a cost of Rs 2.40 crore and Upgradation of CHC Budhabad at Rs 2.26 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also said that a new Tehsil Building will be constructed at Tanda with facilities of SDM Office & Court, Tehsildar Office & Court, Waiting Area, Meeting Hall, Fard Kendre, Record Room and others at a cost of Rs 5 crore. They also announced that Aam Aadmi Clinics will be opened at Kharkhan, Piplawala, Boothgarh, Nari, Singhpur, Bham, Dhade Katwal, Harsa Mansar, Ambala Jattan, Koi, Jhajj, Kurala Kalan, Talwandi Daddiyan, Babak, Bhambotar, Chamuhi, Sathwan, Sansarpur, Safdarpur, Talwara City, Ramgarh Sikri, Darapur, Bahera, Mustapur, Mirzapur Khadiala, Bhagowal and Mahilpur at a cost of 6.96 crore. Similarly, they said that Rs 2.56 crore will be spent on opening new libraries at Hoshiapur I, Bhunga, Tanda, Dasuya and Sri Hargobindpur blocks.
