Delhi, 10 may (Press ki taquat bureau): The Supreme Court, on May 10, decided to grant interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal until June 1 in connection with a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. The court instructed Kejriwal to surrender to the prison authorities by June 2, setting a clear timeline for his compliance with the legal proceedings.
Justices Khanna and Dipankar Datta, who formed the Bench overseeing the case, mentioned that a detailed order on the matter would be issued shortly. They emphasized that it would not be appropriate for the Chief Minister to carry out his official duties or handle administrative files while under interim bail, as it could have far-reaching consequences.
