New Delhi,31-01-23(Press Ki Taquat): There is good news for the people of the capital Delhi. This year you are going to get such a double decker flyover, which will get rid of traffic jam in the northeastern part. The special thing is that below you will take the car and you will see the metro running above. Its design is also amazing. Fifty percent work of this project being constructed on GT Road has been completed. The length of this bridge is 1.4 km. This flyover is being constructed between Yamuna Vihar and Bhajanpura. The people of Noida and Ghaziabad will also be greatly benefited by the construction of this bridge. He will have a lot of time left. This project is to be completed by December 2023. Officials of the agencies involved in the project have informed that the work on the double-deck flyover-cum-metro train track in North-East Delhi is going on at full speed. It will be completed soon.
With the construction of this unique flyover, traffic on the major roads of North and East Delhi will be eased and an easy route will be available for Noida-Ghaziabad. When the team of our associate newspaper TOI visited the site, it was found that the pillars supporting the flyover and the Delhi Metro corridor have been erected from the Signature Bridge side. The flooring work has also started in some parts. Due to less space, planning has been done to make a double-deck design. It is a densely populated and commercial area. This is the first such facility in this corner of the city and will be a part of the Phase 4 corridor of the Delhi Metro.
DMRC’s Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communication) Anuj Dayal told that the work on this part is going on fast. 50 percent civil work has been completed. The casting work of all 41 piers has been completed. At present, the work of installation of level cross arm, metro pier cap, T-girder and U-girder of the flyover is underway. The work of casting the deck slab of the flyover has also started.
PWD has been given a deadline to complete this project this year. Well, DMRC is the lead agency working on it. According to DMRC officials, a double-decker bridge is being constructed under Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor of Phase-4. Vehicular traffic will run under the train corridor on the flyover. The pillars standing in the middle of the road have been specially designed. The shape of a square is visible at half the height of the pillar and the rest part is separate to support the platform of the girder. Metro will run over circular shaped pillars.
