Jerusalem, June 6 (Press ki taquat bureau): The Israeli military conducted an attack on what they referred to as a “Hamas compound” located within a school in the Gaza Strip. According to reports from Hamas-affiliated media, the attack resulted in the death of at least 32 individuals and left numerous others injured. However, there were conflicting reports regarding the strike in the Nuseirat area, and The Associated Press was unable to independently verify the details of the incident. Hamas’ al-Aqsa television broadcaster claimed that 39 people had been killed, but did not provide a source for this information. On the other hand, the Palestinian news agency WAFA stated that at least 32 individuals had lost their lives and many others were wounded. The Israeli military stated that their fighter jets targeted a school operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which provides aid to Palestinians. They alleged, without immediate evidence, that Hamas and the Islamic Jihad had been using the school as a cover for their operations. The Israeli military also asserted that they had taken several precautions to minimize harm to civilians, including conducting aerial surveillance and gathering additional intelligence information. The Nuseirat refugee camp, where the school is located, is situated in the central part of the Gaza Strip and has a historical significance as a Palestinian refugee camp dating back to the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.
