The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a fresh summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear on January 3 for the investigation of the money laundering case related to the excise policy. The investigation agency has earlier issued two notices to AAP convener Kejriwal to appear on November 2 and December 21. A third summons has been issued after they refused to appear before the agency. Kejriwal is currently in Hoshiarpur district for a Vipassana meditation course. Refusing to appear on the second summons, Kejriwal wrote to the investigating officer that the personal appearance notice issued against him was “not in accordance with law” and should be withdrawn.
