Authorities in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, are investigating the tragic murder of a 34-year-old medical practitioner, Priyanka, whose blood-soaked body was discovered in a room above her clinic. Her family has accused her husband, Lakshmichand, and brother-in-law, Bhagat Singh, of the crime.
Priyanka, a mother of two children aged 14 and 10, had been living separately from her husband due to alleged domestic abuse. Her sister, Puja—who was also married to Bhagat Singh but later separated—revealed that Priyanka had feared for her life.
“She called me yesterday and said, ‘They will kill me’. I took her home, but she later returned to the clinic to collect some essentials. Now she is dead. We are also terrified for the children,” Puja told the media.
She further alleged that Priyanka had been subjected to severe domestic violence, recalling past incidents where her in-laws broke her leg and stabbed her before.
The local police station in-charge, Harikishan, confirmed that an investigation is underway. “The family has accused the in-laws, and we are thoroughly investigating the case. No one responsible will be spared. We are also reviewing CCTV footage to gather more evidence,” he stated.
The police have sent Priyanka’s body for autopsy and assured strict action against the culprits.
