G20 Summit began here on Saturday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welcome remarks.
Modi addressed the G20 meeting with country name identified as ‘Bharat’.
Talking about the earthquake in the African nation, the PM said, “The whole world is with Morocco in this hour of grief, we are ready to provide all possible help.”
He said that post-Covid world is suffering from trust deficit, and the war has deepened it further.
He said, “We live in times when age-old problems are seeking answers; we need to fulfil our responsibilities with human-centric approach.”
Modi said the idea of ‘Sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas, sabka prayas’ can be a guide to the world.
He said, “If we can defeat Covid, we can also triumph over the trust deficit caused by the war.
“It has become people’s G20 in India, over 200 events are being held in more than 60 cities,” the PM said, adding that as G20 president, India appeals to the entire world to turn trust deficit to confidence in each other.
It is time for all of us to walk together for global good, the PM said.
