Three individuals have been arrested by the Vadodara police in connection with the boat accident near Vadodara. A police officer provided this information today. It is mentioned that in the incident that occurred on Saturday in the Harni Lake located in the outskirts of Vadodara city, 12 students and two teachers lost their lives, while 18 other students and two teachers were rescued. These students were on a picnic. The Harni police have registered an FIR under sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the IPC against the 18 accused of Kotiya Projects. DCP Panna Momaya said, “We have already arrested the Harni Lake Zone Manager Shanti Lal Solanki and two boat operators Nayan Gohil and Ankit. Efforts are underway to apprehend other suspects. 12 students were involved in this incident.”
