Chandigarh, July 10 (Press ki taquat bureau): The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued an order to open the Shambhu border more than five months after it was sealed to prevent farmers from protesting peacefully. The court has directed both states to coordinate and cooperate with each other in order to carry out the opening of the border, following a bunch of petitions that were taken up by a division bench of the high court.
During the previous hearing, the Bench had instructed both states to submit detailed affidavits regarding the ongoing blockade of the highways at the Shambhu border. The states were asked to provide comprehensive details on the timeline of the highway closures, including when the blockades began and how long they were expected to continue.
