Chandigarh, October 26 (Press Ki Taquat)- Haryana Home Minister Shri Anil Vij, while speaking via wireless today with the State Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police of Law and Order, Inspector General of all police ranges, Police Commissioners and Superintendents of Police, directed that Suspend 372 Investigating Officers (IOs) who have been delaying the disposal of cases pending for one year with immediate effect and also ensure that copies of the suspension orders are sent to the Home Department office and Police Headquarters by today evening. Shri Vij said that any kind of negligence in this work will not be tolerated at all.
The Home Minister was speaking today through wireless (walkie-talkie) with the Director General of Police, ADGP Law and Order, Inspector General of Police of all police ranges, Commissioner of Police and Superintendents of Police of the respective districts.

He also said that before giving instructions to suspend the investigating officers, a letter was written to the Director General of Police and clarification was sought by correspondence with these investigating officers, but the response of the concerned 372 investigating officers was not satisfactory, hence instructions were given to suspend these investigating officers. went. He said that the cases pending for more than a year, which are at the final stage, could have been settled in any way, be it through the court, if the complaint is false then it could be canceled or it could be done as per other rules. The objective was to settle the cases pending for one year so that the victim could get justice in time.

The Home Minister also said that he had discussed this issue with the then Director General of Police P.K. A letter was written to Aggarwal and after that the figure of pending cases was 3229, which is a huge figure, from this it can be inferred that this is the reason for corruption that the victims are not getting justice and the complaints are pending. While expressing his duty, Shri Vij said, “I am accountable to the people, I have the Home Department and it is also my responsibility to ensure that people get justice”. During this time, he also told that through a newspaper, he has received information that a DSP has not been taking appropriate action in a dowry case for five years and that complaint is pending, he has also been suspended. He said that it is also not fair that the victim gets justice after so many years.

Shri Vij said that the pending cases in which action has not been taken will be handed over to the DSPs of the respective districts and these DSPs have also been given strict instructions to dispose of these cases within a month, otherwise they will be punished. Action will also be taken. Through wireless, the Home Minister also took information from the Police Commissioner/DIG and Superintendents of Police about the action taken so far against 372 investigating officers.
