Ganesh Chaturthi is an auspicious Hindu festival that observes the birth of Lord Ganesha, the embodiment of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Every year, millions of people in India and worldwide celebrate this occasion with great pomp. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi falls from September 18 to September 28.
Presently, Ganesh Mandapalas are celebrating the joyous birth of Lord Ganesha. Devotees are worshipping the Vinayaka Chaturthi to seek blessings. Recently, in Ongole, Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh devotees have installed a Ganesh Mandapam at Sree Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple in Gaddalgunta.
Interestingly, Lord Ganesha has been decorated with currency notes totalling 16 lakh rupees. At the Sree Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple in Gaddalgunta, devoted locals have installed a Lord Ganesha statue to commemorate the Vinayaka Chavithi festival. This year, devotees have particularly embellished Swami with currency notes of denominations including 50s, 100s, 200s, and 500.
Lord Ganesha was decorated with currency notes in the temple. Devotees from all across the country paid a visit to the temple. This year, the Ganesh Mandap not only distributed the prasad but also hosted a food donation program organised by devotees.
