The Punjab government has issued strict orders to deputy commissioners of districts to take major actions against drug trafficking. The government has instructed that significant actions should be taken in NDPS cases, and if there is a need to attach the property of any accused under the NDPS Act, immediate information should be provided to the relevant police officer by the concerned authorities. No leniency should be shown in any way.
