Last night, some unidentified individuals attacked the residence of local BJP leader and former councilor Seema Sharma in Mathura Colony of the city. Armed with weapons, these individuals arrived in three cars and vandalized the windows of Sharma’s house. However, due to the presence of security grills, none of the attackers were able to enter the premises. According to Seema Sharma, the assailants also fired gunshots. It is worth mentioning that Seema Sharma had previously served as an independent candidate and later became a councilor on the Congress ticket. She later joined the Akali Dal for some time and is now actively involved with the BJP. During this incident, Seema Sharma has accused the police of not reaching the scene on time, but the SHO Inspector Sukhwinder Singh Gill stated that police constables reached their house within 22 minutes. CCTV footage is also available as evidence.
