During a gathering here on Wednesday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced 29 road projects worth 4,000 crore rupees for Punjab, along with an additional 12,000 crore rupees for other projects. He also laid the foundation stone for the Hoshiarpur-Fazilka highway, which will cost 1,553 crore rupees. With the construction of this highway, the travel time from Hoshiarpur to Fazilka will be reduced to 30 minutes. Under the Bharatmala project, three major and nine minor bridges will be built on this road. This road will connect Jalandhar, SBS Nagar, and Kapurthala, and will end at the Hoshiarpur bypass. Its construction will improve connectivity on NH-44 and NH-503A. Addressing the rally, Nitin Gadkari stated that strengthening the fundamental framework of the country remains the top priority of the BJP government. He emphasized that the development of the nation and its states is crucial.
