Captain Rohit Sharma’s explosive innings of 92 runs off just 41 balls powered India to a total of 205 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their match against Australia in the Super Eight group stage of the T20 World Cup. In response, the Indian bowlers put up a brilliant performance, restricting Australia to 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Travis Head was the top scorer for Australia with 76 runs, while Mitchell Marsh contributed 37 runs and Glenn Maxwell scored 20 runs. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for India, while Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel also chipped in with one wicket each. This victory has secured India’s place in the semi-finals, where they will face England on June 27th.
