New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir achieved a significant milestone in Indian domestic cricket by defeating Delhi in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. This victory marks J&K’s first win against Delhi in 65 years, making it their inaugural triumph over the team in the history of the Ranji Trophy.- Delhi struggled initially, losing opener Arpit Rana for a duck and managing only 211 runs in their first innings, despite Ayush Badoni and Ayush Doseja scoring 64 and 65 runs, respectively.
– J&K responded strongly, with PK Dogra’s century (106 runs) and Abdul Samad’s 85 runs leading them to a total of 310 runs, while Simarjeet Singh took six wickets for Delhi.
– In the second innings, Delhi improved with notable contributions from Arpit Rana (43 runs) and Ayush Badoni (72 runs), setting a target of 179 runs, but Qamran Iqbal’s unbeaten 133 runs guided J&K to a seven-wicket victory.
