February 13 (press ki taquat bureau): Farmers initiated their ‘Dilli Chalo’ march through Shambu border on Tuesday after an inconclusive meeting with two Union ministers regarding their demands, which include a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.
A multitude of young, elderly, and women were part of the procession, consisting of over 500 tractor trolleys, as they vociferously chanted slogans against the government. Farm leaders began assembling at Fatehgarh Sahib early in the morning.
The initial plan to visit three borders has been modified, with farmers now intending to proceed to Delhi via the inter-state borders at Shambhu and Khanauri, while opting not to go to the Dabwali border.
