The tremors were felt as far as Bangkok, China’s Yunnan province, and parts of India and Bangladesh. The epicenter was near Sagaing, around 250 km from the capital Naypyidaw.
The quake led to the collapse of buildings in Mandalay, killing at least 10 people inside a mosque.
