01-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)-The Ekadashi falling in the lucky aspect of the month of Vaisakh is called Mohini Ekadashi. According to religious belief, Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini to protect Amrit from demons. According to the Puranas, by keeping this fast according to the rules, a person gets rid of delusion and attains a place in the superior world.
Mohini Ekadashi is considered a very auspicious and fruitful date in Hinduism. It is believed that a person who fasts on this auspicious date will experience happiness in his life. A fasting person gets out of delusion and moves towards the attainment of liberation.
According to the legend, when the ocean was churned, chaos arose among the gods and demons after getting the nectar. The Devas could not defeat the Asuras by force, so Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini and trapped the Asuras in his web of illusion and made the Devas drink all the nectar that made the Devas attain immortality. This is why this Ekadashi is called Mohini Ekadashi.
