Ludhiana, Jun 27 (PTI) The southwest monsoon has hit parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Several parts of Punjab including Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Madhopur, Gurdaspur, Malikpur, Ajnala, Zira, Pathankot, Aliwal, Tibri, Ferozepur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Ranjit Sagar Dam, Shahpur Kandi, Jandiala, Dhariwal, Patti etc. received rainfall ranging from 4 to 11 cm.Till June 30, moderate to heavy rain and strong winds are likely to occur in Punjab with thundershowers. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature dropped by 3.4 degrees Celsius on Monday. It is also 4.8 degrees Celsius less than the average. Hoshiarpur recorded the highest temperature in the state at 34.2 degrees Celsius.
