Chandigarh, 28-04-2023 (Press Ki Taquat) – Haryana Police has launched a major campaign against cybercrime spreading in Nuhan district of Haryana and has taken swift action. More than 5000 police personnel and various teams of officials conducted raids in 14 villages of Nuhan district late last night and arrested 125 hackers and cybercriminals. ATMs, smartphones, laptops, Aadhaar cards and ATM swap machines of various banks have been recovered from them. The suspects have been arrested and are being interrogated.
While giving the information, the police spokesperson said that the police had received inputs related to cyber fraud in different areas of Noah district in the last few days. Some people used to sit in the room and clear the bank accounts of others. Based on the inputs received, cybercrime hotspot areas were identified and raids were conducted at these locations with heavy police force. To carry out this operation, Haryana Police formed different teams of more than 5000 policemen, including one SP, 6th Edition SP, 14 DSPs and other policemen to campaign against cybercrime.
