Ayodhya, August 14 (Press ki taquat bureau): A significant theft occurred in a high-security area of Ayodhya, where approximately 3,800 bamboo lights and 36 projector lights, valued at over Rs 50 lakh, were reportedly stolen from Bhakti Path and Ram Path. The incident prompted the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station, following a complaint lodged on August 9 by a representative of Yash Enterprises and Krishna Automobiles, the companies responsible for the installation of the lighting under a contract from the Ayodhya Development Authority. The complaint detailed that a total of 6,400 bamboo lights and 96 projector lights had been installed on Rampath and Bhakti Path, respectively. An inspection conducted on May 9 revealed that, while all lights were accounted for as of March 19, a number of them were missing. Shekhar Sharma, the firm’s representative, indicated in the complaint that the theft involved the removal of around 3,800 bamboo lights and 36 projector lights by unidentified individuals.
