Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress and declared the year 2014 not just a date but the beginning of change. Modi said that then people dismissed the then government like a phone with old buttons and a damaged screen and gave a chance to the NDA government under his leadership.

In his address at the India Mobile Congress here, the Prime Minister referred to statistics and said how India has turned from an importer to an exporter of mobile phones and that big companies from Apple to Google are ready to manufacture in the country. He said that after the rapid implementation of 5G mobile services, 6G services will be launched first in India. Modi said, “Before 2014, there were a few hundred start-ups in the country, but now this number has reached close to one lakh. At that time, the screen of the outdated phone would hang and no matter how much you swiped the screen or how many buttons you pressed, there was no effect. Such was the condition of the government at that time. At that time the country’s economy or the then government was in hang mode. The condition was so bad that even restarting did not help. Neither charging nor replacing the battery was of any use.” The Prime Minister said that people gave up that outdated phone in 2014 and gave us an opportunity to serve. He said that India has moved from 118th to 43rd position in terms of mobile broadband speed and four lakh 5G base stations have been installed within a year of the launch of 5G services.
