INTERNATIONAL DIVYANG WEEK WILL BE CELEBRATED IN STATE FROM DECEMBER 3 TO 10
PUNJAB GOVERNMENT ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS TO BRING SCHEMES RELATED TO WELFARE OF DIVYANG TO GROUND LEVEL
Chandigarh, December 1
A state-level function regarding to the International Divyang Diwas is being celebrated by the Punjab Government on December 5 in Chandigarh. Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur will be the chief guest in this event.
Divulging in this regard, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the International Divyang Week is being celebrated from December 3 to December 10 in various districts of Punjab and the state level event is being celebrated at Chandigarh on December 5. She said that taking a unique initiative this year, the Punjab government has issued instructions to all the district social security officers to organize events in each district to bring the ongoing schemes related to the welfare of the divyang to the ground level.
Dr. Baljit Kaur further said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to the welfare of the divyang persons of the state. On the occasion of this event, divyang persons, persons working for their welfare and non-governmental organizations will be honored.
The Cabinet Minister appealed to the divyang persons to participate in these events so that they can make their lives better by getting maximum benefits.
