Patiala, November 13 (Press ki taquat bureau ): World Powerlifting Championship was held on 9th and 10th November in Thailand. In this World Powerlifting Championship, teams from more than 40 countries participated and showed their strength. In this championship, Indian team was led by Asia President Prince Uppal and Punjab team was led by Rajesh Arora. In this championship, Harpreet Singh Peeta won three gold medals and became the overall champion in Master category. Rajesh Arora said that the youth of Punjab hoisted the flag at the World Powerlifting Championship held in Thailand at the international level and brought laurels to their country and Punjab. He appealed to the youth to get involved in sports as much as possible. In this championship, Narendrapal Singh Sheri won gold medal in classic bodybuilding, Amandeep Singh won gold medal in under-16 bodybuilding, Amandeep Singh won gold medal in under-16 bodybuilding, Amandeep Singh won gold medal in 35+ bodybuilding, won gold medal in power lifting deadlift in junior category and Vivek Sharma got second place in natural bodybuilding.
