On the second day of his Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi established contact with the people today and said that Congress stands with the people of Manipur and wants to turn the state back into a peaceful and prosperous one. The Volvo bus, specially prepared for the journey, started this morning and Rahul Gandhi even walked a distance, interacting with the people and listening to their difficulties. Along the route of the journey, women and children were standing to welcome Rahul, and in many areas where the bus stopped, people even chanted slogans. Addressing the people from the roof of the bus, Rahul Gandhi said, “Congress undertook this journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir so that the people of the country could be united. This journey was successful and we covered a distance of four thousand kilometers. Now we have to take another journey from east to west.”
