Chandigarh, December 22:
As per the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, S. Bhagwant Singh Maan, a special program will be organized to apprise students of government/recognized and private schools in Punjab about the valour of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the unparalleled martyrdom of the Sahibzades.
A dedicated ceremony commemorating the martyrdom will be organised on December 23. This event will be conducted in all schools across Punjab during the morning hours (first 2 hours).
Sharing information on this matter, Education Minister Punjab, S. Harjot Singh Bains, said that these events, to pay homage to Sahibzadas, will include poetry/song/waar singing competitions related to Martyrdom Week and speech/educational competitions related to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Additionally, school in-charges and teachers will deliver speeches on the life and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Shaheedi Jor Mela.
- Bains stressed that these events will be organized with complete simplicity in all schools, without the inclusion of any musical programs.
