115 youth from all the districts are participating, the workshop will be held till December 15
Chandigarh, December 12:
The Department of Youth Services has launched the first phase of the State Level Youth Training Workshop (for Boys) at Panjab University, Chandigarh aimed at enhancing the social, cultural, and moral standing of the youth of Punjab. The workshop is scheduled to run until December 15.
Divulging the details, a spokesperson today said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann consistently advocates for guiding the state’s youth in the right direction. In pursuit of this objective, the workshop has been organized under the leadership of Sports and Youth Services Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer. The goal is to provide proper guidance to the youth on vocational courses, Punjab Government schemes and initiatives for their welfare and development.
A total of 115 youth from all districts of Punjab are actively participating in this training workshop. The inclusion of office bearers from affiliated youth clubs of the state aims to empower these youth to contribute to village development through their clubs.
During the workshop, various subject matter experts will share their insights with the youth. On the inaugural function, Kulwinder Singh and Rupinder Kaur, Assistant Directors from the Department of Youth Services, along with officers of Youth Welfare department Panjab University, Chandigarh were present. On this occasion, former Director Dr. Kamaljit Singh Sidhu provided information about the department’s activities and programs to engage the youth.
