Strict management of NEET (UG)-2025 examination in Haryana
More than 60 thousand examinees will give the exam at 162 centers in the state
Chandigarh, April 30-Strong arrangements have been made to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the upcoming NEET (UG) examination in Haryana on May 4. For this, a total of 162 examination centers have been set up across the state, in which 60,687 examinees will attend.
Haryana Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi chaired a high-level meeting today to review the state’s preparations for the examination. Director General of Police Shri Shatrujit Kapoor, Director of Higher Education Shri Rahul Hooda participated in the meeting, while Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education Department Shri Vineet Garg, all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, representatives of National Examination Agency (NTA) and senior officials of Education Department joined through video conferencing.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the need for seamless coordination between the Civil Administration and NTA to ensure a smooth, professional and transparent examination process. He directed all the Deputy Commissioners to work closely with the City Coordinators of NTA to finalize the operational arrangements as well as ensure availability of all necessary facilities at the examination centres. He said that the officials should visit the designated centers to assess the preparation related to the examination and to remove any shortcoming in advance.
Mr. Rastogi said that any delay in the entire process will be dealt with strictly and responsibility will be fixed at the highest level in the district administration. He said that the officers should keep the complete logbook of the strongroom till the completion of the examination process. The Deputy Commissioner assured that all the arrangements are in order and no disturbance will be allowed at the examination centres.
Director General of Police Shri Shatrujit Kapur directed the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to deploy adequate police personnel in and around the examination centres. He said that there will be a two-tier security system at each examination centre. He also emphasized the need for effective traffic regulation to prevent congestion and facilitate the candidates to reach the examination centers on time.
According to official data, a maximum of 6,672 candidates will appear in 18 centers in Gurugram. After this, 6,332 examinees will appear at 15 centers in Hisar and 6,192 examinees at 17 centers in Faridabad. 5,184 examinees at 15 centers in Rohtak while 3,840 examinees at 12 centers in Rewari will take the exam.
3,672 examinees will appear at 7 centers in Bhiwani and 3,392 examinees at 8 centers in Mahendragarh. 1329 examinees at 4 centers in Mewat (Nuah), 1634 examinees at 4 centers in Kaithal and 2,496 examinees at 7 centers in Karnal. 2594 examinees will appear at 5 centers in Jind, 2,437 examinees at 6 centers in Sonipat and 2,430 examinees at 7 centers in Panipat.
2,344 examinees at 5 centers in Ambala while 2,038 examinees at 5 centers in Sirsa will take the exam. 1,968 examinees at 6 centers in Jhajjar, 1,811 examinees at 7 centers in Kurukshetra, 2736 examinees at 9 centers in Palwal and 1,586 examinees at 5 centers in Yamunanagar.
