Actor Taapsee Pannu expressed her willingness to embrace a more supportive role in film projects, particularly those where the burden of box office expectations does not rest solely on her shoulders. During her appearance at Sahitya Aaj Tak, she reflected on her decision to participate in Rajkumar Hirani’s 2023 film “Dunki,” which features the renowned superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Pannu articulated that there is a common perception that filmmakers may hesitate to approach her for projects starring major actors, under the assumption that she would decline such opportunities. However, she clarified that there are instances when she prefers to take a step back, allowing her to focus on delivering a meaningful performance without the added stress of being the primary draw for the film.
