The Punjab Police made a significant breakthrough in the Chandigarh blast investigation by apprehending one of the two suspects linked to the incident at a residence in Sector 10. The individual, identified as Rohan Masih, hails from Passia village in the Amritsar Rural district. During the arrest, authorities seized a 9MM Glock pistol along with ammunition from him, raising concerns about the potential for further violence. Just a day prior, the Chandigarh Police had announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for any leads that could help capture the remaining suspect involved in the low-intensity explosion that rocked the upscale Sector 10 neighborhood. This explosion occurred on Wednesday evening, with the homeowner reporting that two individuals in an auto-rickshaw had thrown what was described as a “grenade” at the property, prompting a swift response from law enforcement to ensure public safety and bring those responsible to justice.
The arrest comes as part of an ongoing investigation into the incident.
