There is hope that the archaeological heritage of the famous historical city ofAgroha will soon be revealed
Chandigarh , October 8 (Press Ki Taquat)- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that a prestigious museum will be established at the historic archaeological site of Agroha Dham in Haryana . Also, on the lines of Rakhigarh, soon the government is going to develop the historical place Agroha .
Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal gave this information while addressing a press conference after offering prayers at the Mata Mansa Devi temple premises on the occasion of the first Narata in Panchkula today . On this occasion , the Chief Minister wished the residents of the state a happy future .
Congratulating Maharaja Agarsen Jayanti, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the archaeological site of Agroha is considered as the capital of Maharaja Agarsen . With the development of this place, not only this center of faith will make its identity in the world, but this place will also be popular for tourism . The central government has decided to develop the Agroha archaeological site and the surrounding area as per the Rakhigarh model through an MoU. Permission to do so is provided . We are committed to invest in the development of the Agroha Archaeological Site Museum under our broad objectives of preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the state .
The stategovernment will conduct GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) survey in potential areas
He said that the excavation of the Agroha archaeological site will be done jointly by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Haryana State Archaeological Department . Before starting the excavation, the state government will conduct a GPR survey in the likely areas . After that, there will be a joint MoU between ASI and the Haryana government .
TheChief Minister appealed to the Center to highlight the archaeological heritage of Agroha _
Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal had written a letter to the Union Culture Minister Mr. G. Kishan Reddy in the month of August regarding mining in Agroha, a central survey site in Hisar district . The Chief Minister wished that the Haryana government wants to highlight the archaeological heritage in the famous historic city of Agroha, Tehsil Adampur , District Hisar so that the historical and cultural areas of the state can add an important chapter . They have turned this place into a magnificent heritage site in Haryana and an archeological site museum It has also appealed to start a project for the establishment of Agroha during excavation The discovery of coins of the Republic and the appearance of its old name Agardoka in ancient literature including the Mahabharata are ample proofs of its being the headquarters of the Republic . Agroha city Takshashila and Mathura It was located on the old trade routes and therefore remained an important center of events and political activities . Previous excavations have proven the potential of the site and have revealed five distinct cultural periods ranging from about the fourth century to the twenty-first century .
More than 100 archaeological sites have been identified _ _
He said that more than 100 archaeological sites have been identified in Haryana . These are being jointly developed by the central state government . He said that in order to protect the heritage of Rakhigarh, the central government has taken approx 23 crore rupees are being provided similarly financial potion will also be provided for Agroha . Apart from this , the state government will also make a large number of budgets available .
Apart from this , the government is also working to convey the message of saints and great men to the masses under the Sant-Mahapurusha Vishar Samman and Prasar Yojana . The government celebrates the birth anniversary of great men at the state level . The government has also named many educational institutions in the state to honor great men . Maharaj Agrarsen’s life is being included in the course . We are working continuously to build the foundation of the future on the golden past .
