BJP Member of Parliament, Brijbushan Sharan Singh, has opposed the sending of an invitation letter to the opponents of the Ram Mandir in the upcoming gathering on January 22nd. Singh has also excluded himself from participating in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, fighting against the Ayodhya dispute, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to journalists in the Safdarjung area, Singh said, “Opponents who have consistently obstructed the construction of the Ram Mandir should not be given an invitation letter for the dispute. These are the same people who, while targeting the BJP, used to say, ‘Ram Lalla, we will come, we will build the temple there, but we will not disclose the date.’ According to reports, on January 22nd, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will be present for the ceremony of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (installation of the idol) in the Ram Mandir, along with former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha Speaker.
