Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra today and then launch development projects worth more than 30,500 crore rupees in the state. PM Modi will also inaugurate the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link, which has been named the ‘Atal Bihari Vajpayee Seva-Nehru Setu’. The construction of this bridge has been done at a cost of more than 17,840 crore rupees. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of this bridge in December 2016. It is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in India. It is a 21.8 kilometer long six-lane bridge, with a length of 16.5 kilometers over the sea and 5.5 kilometers on land. It has been stated that it will provide direct connectivity to the Mumbai International Airport and the Navi Mumbai International Airport, and will also reduce travel time for journeys between Mumbai and Pune, Goa, and South India.
