Bengaluru, May 4 (Press ki taquat bureau): Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara announced on Saturday that a lookout notice has been issued by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) against Holenarasipur JD(S) MLA H D Revanna, who, along with his son and MP Prajwal Revanna, is facing serious sexual abuse allegations. Two FIRs have been lodged against him, and the former minister has been served a second notice (summons) to appear before the SIT for questioning regarding the case.
The Home Minister highlighted that the lookout notice was specifically issued against Revanna and Prajwal to prevent any potential attempts to flee the country. He emphasized the urgency of the situation by mentioning that Revanna has until the evening to present himself before the SIT for the inquiry, as a second notice has already been issued to him.
In response to queries about recent developments, Parameshwara mentioned that Revanna is also reportedly seeking bail in connection with the Mysuru kidnap case. The Minister acknowledged the ongoing arrests and lookout notices, indicating that there are several significant developments occurring behind the scenes that may not be immediately apparent to the public.
The initial case against the father and son duo was filed for alleged sexual harassment at the Holenarsipura police station in Hassan district following a complaint by a woman who was employed at Revanna’s residence. Subsequently, a second FIR was lodged against Revanna and his associate Sathish Babanna in Mysuru for the alleged abduction of another woman, who is also believed to be a victim of sexual abuse.
