The lifeless body of a woman was found in a naked state in the fields of Shahpur, Karnal. The police suspect the possibility of murder after a sexual assault.

 In the fields of Shahpur village in the Indri region of Karnal, the naked body of a 55-year-old woman was found. Upon receiving the information, the police team from the Sadar police station and the FSL team reached the scene and took possession of the body for post-mortem at the mortuary of Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College in Karnal. It is at the mortuary where the correct causes of death will be determined after the post-mortem. However, the police is also considering the possibility of the woman’s death being connected to a murder case after examining it in relation to a crime of sexual violence.According to the information received, the identity of the woman was established as Kamlesh, a resident of Sangoha village. Her husband, Mahendra, passed away about 10-12 years ago. The deceased woman had two children. One of them, a girl, is already married, while the boy stays with his sister due to his studies.According to the officer, they received information about the discovery of a woman’s body in the Shahpur village of the police station area at around 9 am. They immediately reached the scene and sent the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. The initial investigation suggests a case of rape, but they cannot confirm anything at this point. The truth will only come to light after the post-mortem report is received.
