On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially began his third consecutive term in office by arriving at South Block. The first Cabinet meeting is scheduled to be held at the Prime Minister’s residence, Lok Kalyan Marg, at approximately 5 pm.
Out of these, 30 are Cabinet Ministers, five hold independent charge, and 36 are Ministers of State. Notable senior BJP leaders such as Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitaraman, Piyush Goel, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Shivraj Chouhan were among those who took the oath alongside Prime Minister Modi.
Additionally, leaders from the NDA alliance, including Lallan Singh, Jayant Choudhary, and Chirag Paswan, also assumed their ministerial roles. Despite the BJP falling short of a majority with only 240 seats, 32 less than the required number, the INDIA bloc managed to accumulate 232 seats.
