the United Farmers’ Front (non-political) announced a program to march to Delhi on February 13th to demand solutions for agricultural issues and other problems. In response, the police in Patiala and Ambala have sealed the borders of Punjab and Haryana, diverting the traffic to alternative routes. The Ambala administration has also closed the bridge over the Ghaggar River and is conducting excavation work inside the river to prevent farmers from crossing it with tractors. Section 144 has been imposed in Ambala to prevent Punjab farmers from entering. The Rapid Action Force (RAF) has also reached the Shambhu border. According to reports, the police in Ambala and Patiala have set up major barricades on the Shambhu barrier, blocking the national highway. Strict barricading has also been implemented on two other major routes from Patiala district to Haryana.
